Why anyone would join the Guard in the Communist state of California is beyond me...
Turmoil has gripped the leadership ranks of the California National Guard, with the firing of the general who commanded its air branch, the suspension of a second key general, and new limits placed by Gov. Gavin Newsom on the organization’s use of fighter jets for civilian missions.

Newsom’s office and the head of the Guard, Maj. Gen. David S. Baldwin, refused to provide details on the reasons behind the recent leadership changes other than a statement from the Guard saying that the organization “is committed to facilitating a positive working environment for all of its members, regardless of gender and ethnicity.”

The air branch’s former commander, who was forced out two weeks ago, told The Times he did nothing wrong and said Baldwin had “lost touch with reality.”

Wow! Unbelievable.
Two generals who basically told the communists to go screw themselves got canned. What the hell. We're supposed to protect our country from terrorists like Mafia Newstrom, Sleepy Alzheimer's Biden, Bumbling slothful Harris, drunken pelosi, hate group BLM, aoc the clinically psychotic bartender, and other puppets.
Not to support that garbage. This is just like early Nazi Germany and is very infuriating.

So many questions about this. Unlike the Army National Guard, the Air National Guard has more accountability for deploying its tactical assets for "civil support missions" and does not routinely buzz crowds based on a governor's request or on its own volition. After serving more than twenty years in an ANG fighter unit, I cannot recall a single activation or deployment of ANG fighter jets for "civilian uses" other than an aerial demonstration.

Past abuses of power in the CANG are well documented, but are not a unique occurrence in the ANG. That said, leaving any commander at the helm for a decade often leads to multiple problems. Where does that happen in the Title 10 active duty forces? There's a reason the active services move commanders around, but the National Guard has perfected the art of homesteading.

There are plenty of National Guard unique problems in every state and they are often related to political affiliations and long-term power. Sadly, the only way to reign in some of the problems may be with more direct control from the Pentagon.
