Can anyone explain how the points are determined for the new National Guard Promotion Guidelines?

Thank you SSG, it's just been very confusing as the new lists come out, no one seems to know how the list was ranked since points aren't mentioned anymore. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Indeed, a lot of my decisions were based on their NCOERs, as well as APFT, extra appointed duties, and if they were pursuing civilian education (bettering themselves, taking advantage of our in state tuition waiver). Also of importance were awards, certificates, and medals.

I tried my best to paint a picture of the soldier based on all available information. Let me assure you, it was a very thorough and time consuming process.

The system itself is a digitally tracked points-based tool used to rank the soldiers, in which we logged in and had access to portions of their records.

Thank you, it makes a lot more sense. Things used to be straight to the point and the points made sense off the worksheet given. With the changes it's still hard to look at the list a know for sure what may separate you from the number 1 slot.
