Document Shows Marine Vet Running for Office was AWOL

I'll just copy/paste what I wrote in comment when the same article was posted earlier today:

What does his DD214 say? That's what matters to me.

I still recall people tried to pin the same kinds of accusations against George W. Bush, it turned out that some of the documents used as proof against him turned out to be forgeries. It doesn't matter though to "progressives" who still gleefully describe him as "AWOL Bush"

It seems common that the level of record keeping and even expectations on reservists aren't always consistent in the reserves. I'm generally one to give the benefit of the doubt.

This guy is exploiting something he does not deserve...the title of US Marine.

Sometimes there is more to the story than just AWOL. Other times it's as simple as just AWOL.
