Considering a re-up after a 13 year break in service and resigned commission. Is it possible?

Thanks for having me. I have a fairly complicated situation and wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.
Details: As I said in the title, I have been separated from the ARNG for nearly 13 years now. I am 46 years old and have a total of 8 years TIS (combined Regular Army & ARNG). So I think I can get my 20 in before 60 if I move pretty quick. I got out as an O2 (1LT) in 2006 and resigned my commission at my wife's behest. She is also prior service BTW, but no interest in returning. Basically, we both got our 8 year letters around the same time and mutually agreed to resign our commissions and move on with life and start a family. We're still married and have 3 kids now. After all these years, I've begun to regret that decision. I was a 25A (Signal Officer), but was prior enlisted for 5 years as a 98C (now 35N SIGINT Analyst). I held a TS/SCI clearance in my enlisted days. I was discharged under honorable conditions and have no bars to re-enlistment. I have a BA and Master's degree and am a small business owner in the civilian world.
Goals: In a perfect world, I would love to get my commission back and pick up where I left off as a Signal branched 1LT in the ARNG. I realize this might be a tall order after so many years. Maybe WO is still an option for me? I might prefer that route actually. But if neither CO or WO are options, I'm still interested in returning enlisted, but would consider ARNG and other reserve components in that case, probably AR or ANG. From what I've read, walking into a your nearest ARNG recruiting office might not be the best way to get the right information. I am in North Alabama.

I tried getting back into the Reserves a couple of years ago (39, resigned as O-4 some nine years earlier). Like everyone else advises here, I went to the gold-side recruiter. I filled out forms, sent forms, sent emails, made calls, wrote letters... no movement. My personal sense of it is that a rising tide floats all boats...it's all about timing, and those elusive "needs of the service". I'm guessing that back when I tried it, that tide was pretty low. With things the way they are right now, that tide may be coming back in. Best wishes, and good luck.

The formula used to be 2 years at 30, and an additional year for every year over 30, to reenlist without an age waiver. I believe they changed that to provide a larger recruiting pool. As suggested contact a recruiter to get the latest age criteria.
