How do we as enlisted leaders instill the respect for the profession that has (debatably) been missing since the GWOT began? With the ceasing of typical combat operations and with it a level of real world motivation how do we introduce professional change amongst a jaded military?

Focusing on
-conventional warfare
-history and lineage
-basic Soldering skill I.e. Field craft
- characteristics of the profession as detailed by CAPE

I don't accept your premise that soldiers today lack the respect for "the profession of arms."  I see new soldiers coming into the Army and after accounting for the generational shift, I find they behave in pretty much the same manner I did 18 years ago.

You start from scratch, start with yourself.
Get your Soldiers into the field and lead from the front.
Value added training.
Tales of history and heritage, Blackhawk Down, Operation Anaconda, MoH recipients...
re-enact squad and PLT level engagements and discuss lessons learned.
And above all, False motivation is better than no motivation. Fake it til you make it.
