I seriously think it's time for the CG to clear out their fleet of ancient and outdated cutters. I don't think the 421s and 179s are rolling out fast enough. The 87s are already running up on 19 years.

My only SEA duty - volunteered for a CG Reserve Cruise summer of 1975 (Jul-Aug) during Hurricane Blanch, as an ET1. All my prior time as ACTIVE ET2 (Electronic Technician) on LORAN Stations.
