Smart Bombs is are the game changers. The JDAMs brought hell on the opening days of OIF. I can't imagine what technology of targeting has brought to the table. Some old Warhorses just need new shoes.

MSG Danny Mathers - Our smart cluster bombs occupy a vessel, and the cluster bombs are eventually released. They sense locations of enemy armor vehicles and guide themselves to the target and penetrating the vehicles from the top. My question is what conditions have to be met to use the B-52's.

Makes sense to me, as long as nothing in those replacement engines comes from China or anywhere else not in NATO.
