It's always good to see the veterans receiving the help they need. I just wish there were a bit more assistance for the ones who are left out in the cold with no help. I pray that the up and coming military generations keeps the ball rolling on taking care of our veterans. Let's always keep them in our thoughts and prayers because eventually, fellow service members, we'll all be veterans.

The Mayor of Boston MA has been doing some good things with this issue. Especially when our weather can turn on a dime & drop well below zero..

Communication and mental health are key here. Many vets are stranded while not aware of the programs that do exist. Others still suffer from a multitude of mental health issues while many lean on substance abuse. Advocates need to get out on the streets, not on the Internet.

There's great Vet orgs all around now (most I know are legit)...Feed Our Vets started in Utica (near Griffiss) and has expanded up to Watertown (Drum) since we have a lot of retirees and the generations of kids all around us! May Dunford fix what ails us in that down-low club cesspool that's called America Minor (speaking directly about DC...I love Guam and Somoa I served in Hawaii!!!)
