My recruiter mentioned to me that MEPS wont be an issue but I'm concerned due to medical issues on my PHA.

I highly doubt you would have to do anything more at MEPS than an inspect, which is a height and weight check and to ask if there are any new changes to your physical condition. I'm saying this with the assumption that your PHA is within 12 months of tolerance and that your PULHES is still qualifying, with no 0 or 3 in it.

Thanks for your response SFC Boyd. My PHA is current and PULHES is good.

SPC (Join to see) of course I would check with your Navy recruiter to ensure this is the case. I'm 18 months retired at this point, so it's all speculation and "back in my day" at this point!

After our Air Guard unit was notified we were being deactivated I transferred to the Navy reserve. They only had me go through a routine physical at MEPS. It was quick and easy and out the door. Since I was still under contract I wasn’t even with all the other people that were processing. Good luck.

What rank were you when you changed to the Navy Reserve?
Did you keep your rank?

I believe you will have to go through it again due to a change in branches. Each branch has there own medical regs on top of the DOD regs. Is the concern something that is waiverable?

SPC (Join to see) - I am sure if your PULHES is all 1's or 2's you should be good either way. Most likely you are only going to MEPS to do a quick records review, health check and select you MOS and swear in. I don't think you will do the entire thing. But that is just me thinking, your recruiter should be able to break it down for you.
