In honor of Veterans Day I hope no other Reservist National Guard with an Honorable has to experience getting dragged through the mud traumatized and re-traumatized felt dirty at the VA simply because of their enlistment with no investigation to their command and exposures and experiences. I do not think it was the intention of Congress for this to happen. Do someone a solid. In this matter I had served on 2 FFG’s for years broken up duty and could not go the va without a fight literally, the last days years of my time with my dad a Army vet 66-68 Vietnam who I had just met a few years prior.

Being tagged a reservist on or off duty tagged at the va “a veteran not for veteran purposes” must be similar to when it was not good to be a woman or the wrong race or religion..The laws as written separately in different USC Codes title 10 and 38 allow for some odd things, say you can have a 8 year obligation enlistment, can be turned on for up to 30 days operational, in an active duty command, sent home repeating such situations for years, and not be a veteran for veteran purposes..and this will be your first fight
