With the budget of both the Navy and the Corps combined, Grunts could have proper gear and rounds to train to a better standard (not saying the standard is low by any means). The Corps has been doing a lot with very little for a long time, imagine what it could do with a lot.

NO!!!!!!! The title US Marine is earned. Being a Sailor is earned also but the NAVY is NOT the same as the US MARINES. THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS THE MEDICAL NAVY CORPSMAN.

lol, hell no. we've been step children since we began.We wouldn't know how to act. We always "make do" we improvise! Taking that away will make us, ..well make us like the Army! Besides it's a slippery slop. We're a Corps, we sit on the JCS, reducing us to an MOS means they might let swabbies into the Corps when they want to change MOS. The Navy flexibility with an MOS would corrupt some Admiral down the line to change things.
