Respected Officers, NCO and fellow soldiers, I bid you warm greetings.
I was recently board selected for direct commission 66H (nursing) As reserve. I am currently Specialist 68W Active duty. I joined ARMY through MAVNI program. I have 12 months left on my 4 years active duty contract. I would like to know how to get order to be release from my current unit and switch over to assigned reserve unit. Has anyone gone through this?

Thank you in advance for anyinsight.

Don't you need a DD368 for a conditional release?

1LT (Join to see) - the 4187 has to be routed through the S1 but goes to the approval authority. As I said before, what is the routing on the back of the 4187? What did the AMEDD recruiter tell you is the approval authority? What regulation is the top cover for a 12 month drop? What does it say? 6 month education and employment drops were Brigade command level permission on a 4187 IAW 635-200 and supporting MILPER.

I suspect it is a nameless faceless cubicle at HRC. HRC should be issuing some sort of assignment instructions to your MILPO unless it has been delegated in a MILPER, ALARACT, or Regulation for them to take the direct commission list and the approved 4187 and cut your orders. The MILPER announcing the selection list or the board probably has the amplifying instructions. I don't know if they'll cut an RFO from the Officer Branch Side, that is how officers get orders. NCOs and Soldiers don't get RFOs from what I was told, and IMHO that is why soldiers getting orders is a total shit show. Go back to your recruiter and ask, specifically, how you are to get orders. Your S1 is only the front counter for orders unless delegated to them by policy or regulation. MILPO cuts PCS orders and the like. If you look at major orders, you'll see they're cut at installation level.

Speak with your RCCC Sergeant. You will be discharged from AC and do your DA71 to swear you in as an Officer. HRC will cut your new orders.

Thanks! Mine was December 4th, thinking the holidays may have had something to do with how the turn around would be. Youre waiting on for orders?

My recruiter told me his waiting on offer so he could commission me. Yeah.. I think it’s orders and your reserve unit. Not too sure, but it’s been a while now. Hey, are you MAVNI too? 1LT (Join to see)
