Welcome to The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day!

Good “Thursday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 17 November 2022!

Today’s Message is: “Maximize Day!” Why Not?

“Resourceful leaders know how to maximize all of their resources — personal, human, time, and tangible! Great leaders do what they’re best at and surround themselves with people that do other things better. They encourage others to build on their own strengths and reach their maximum potential. Competent leaders eliminate wasted time and prioritize what matters. They provide their team with the right equipment and tools to be successful and complete the mission. Do you know how to maximize your resources as a leader?” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

about those you lead and are those you responsible for. Hopefully you and I are spiritually mature enough to serve those in need that we interact with and demonstrate our love by showing empathy appropriately. ‘So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. [Philippians 2:1-2 ESV] my brother-in-Christ SPC Michael Terrell

I pray that YOU bless each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or listens to it with sufficient endurance, grace and compassion. Prompt each of us to encourage and motivate those who depend on us for advice, leadership, and support strive to do their best and go as far as they can step-by-step. 'Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.' [1 Corinthians 13:4-5 ESV] We need humility and YOUR grace to serve the weakest and most needful among us. Guide us where we are needed physically and virtually as well as through intercessory prayer guidance. ‘In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.’ [Hebrews 6:17-18 ESV]

I am thankful that YOU bless parents with insight to train their children to reach their higher potential for each stage of growth, leaning and skills. I pray for attentiveness and discernment for each parent as they raise the bar and encourage their children to meet it, then praise the child and raise the bar again for the training and education of their children – from tricycles, to training wheels to riding bikes; from learning the alphabet, to enunciating, to reading on their own, and increasing the level of what they read. ‘At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.’ [Matthew 18:1-4 ESV]

I lift caregivers for disabled individuals including veterans, caregivers for aging relatives; caregivers for recovering patients; caregivers for injured policemen, policewomen, Federal agents injured in the line of duty; and parents of school age children to YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU bless each caregiver with endurance to do good, compassion as they care for those under their charge, and adult fellowship to encourage them through the challenges they face. Guide parents to make wise decisions about the education and training of their children. “But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore, it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.’ [Ephesians 5:13-16 ESV]

LORD, I lift up the most vulnerable in society to YOU including preborn children, disabled children especially those labeled as autistic and the ministries which help these people and those who care for them. including pregnant mothers-to-be. I pray that YOU motivate compassionate counselors with patience to listen and hear to speak respectfully to the pregnant women and girls. Help them to understand the value of human life and to place their trust in YOU. 'For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.' [Psalm 139:13-16 ESV]

I pray that you and your family members sleep well Thursday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Friday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

No doubt you optimize the use of time, resources and talents to accomplish tasks, goals, missions and objective for your family, your business/service, and/or informal groups of like-minded individuals. I expect you are an inspiring motivator, an encouraging listener, who helps those who depend on you to solve challenging problems. I hope and pray that each of us encourage those who look up to us for leadership, guidance and advice. No doubt you care about those you lead and are those you responsible for. Thank you my friend and brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see) for your diligence in posting our friend, former RallyPoint member emeritus, and brother-in-Christ Colonel Mikel Burroughs VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day for Thursday, November 17, 2022.

Topic: Maximize Day
To be honest, optimize makes more sense in context that maximixe since maximize inplies expansion and growth while optimize implies best use of personnel, time, resources and processes to accomplish goals, tasks objectives.
1. Physical growth is painful [remember being a teenager]. Potential is an upper limit which by God's grace, HE transforms the mind and soul of each of HIS own and our ultimate potential to reflect the image of God shall be achieved at the end of our earthy life.

1. Martin Luther King 'I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character
2. Ray A Davis 'Your greatness is revealed not by the lights that shine upon you, but by the light that shines within you.'
3. Winston Churchill 'Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.'
4. Rick Warren ‘Character is both developed and revealed by tests, and all of life is a test... You will be tested by major changes, delayed promises, impossible problems, unanswered prayers, undeserved criticism, and even senseless tragedies.’

Scriptures:
a. Philippians 3:13-15 ESV 'Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. 16Only let us hold true to what we have attained.'
b. 1 Timothy 6:6-10 ESV ‘But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
c. Galatians 5:13-14 ESV ''For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word. “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
d. Ephesians 5:13-16 ESV “But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore, it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
e. 2 Peter 3:8-9 ESV 'But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.'
f. Hebrews 4:1-3 ESV 'Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. For we who have believed enter that rest'
