Made it though another grueling weekend of Pre OCS. record APFT, Land nav, and map reading test are all passed and a go. Looks like I'm going to phase 1 in SC next month!

Awesome Job!! Cooperate and graduate. I had a nerdy guy in my class. People made fun of him. He graduated. The cocky guys in my OCS class shut up when they found he was a multimillionaire with at least a dozen high end apartment complexes in the Pacific Beach part of San Diego. He currently is a LTC deploying to Iraq. Be fair to everyone. I am a friend of the Millionaire OCS graduate.

Good luck. You made it through Basic and AIT, physically this won't be any harder and if you made it through College, you should be able to handle the academics. The hard part is to maintain motivation while being constantly harassed by the TAC's and in your case, having to maintain it month to month. Believe me, at some point you will have a bad weekend and spend the next month wondering if it's worth it and wanting to tell them to screw off. Don't. I finally just developed the mindset that the TAC's were something I had to put up with for a short time to get where I wanted to go.
None of them are on my Christmas Card List.
A hint about maximizing the academics. Every course will give you a synopsis of the course before you start, which has a reading list and sample test questions. Get in the habit of doing the reading, which is generally just parts of several chapters that cover the important stuff, and answering the sample questions. You will have a grasp of what the course is about, look smarter in front of the instructors and get much better grades.
I tied for first place academically. You wouldn't think that looking at my GPA. That advice also goes for BOLC too.

SPC (Join to see) - There are quite a number of OCS grads on Rally Point, so if you have question or concerns, you can generally get about 100 years of experience talking to you and the advice here tends to be top notch. If you hit that bad spell and just want to bitch to someone that has been through, feel free to shoot me a private message.
