PO1 William "Chip" Nagel thanks for letting us know the Antarctica is melting faster than ever. Global warming is in full-effect and it is dangerously effecting the Antarctica like never before. I have never been there, would like to visit one day. However I have been to Greenland.

Just trying to visualize a lot of the places I know and love Underwater. Most of Florida is less than 6ft above sea level which means most of it will be underwater soon. Lots of Large Metropolitan Cities are build in the low marsh lands, New York, Washington, this will be devastating.

Served with the 109th Airlift Wing from 2000 to 2010. Received the Antarctic Service ribbon, only need 60 days to earn it. The unit does not winter over.

Mid December to Mid January, it can get close to +50F at McMurdo Station on Ross Island, just off the coast of Antarctica. The warmest I saw at the South Pole was 4 above. The times I went to the pole, it was -30F.
