We were there winter 2000-2001 only got few inches several times and was gone quickly, a very mild winter. Was worried as they showed us pictures from the previous year with helicopters frozen to the ground. Looks like we just got lucky.

I was there in 2001 as well. I was with the 82nd and was in a small town called Klokot. Good times.
