Well as I stated yesterday I would fill in more about playing in the big sandbox. As stated before my unit was attached to 1st Armor Div., Our Brig was commanded by COL Riley and on the 25th we were ordered to close with and destroy the Medina Div. On Medina Ridge, on that night I lost a very good friend from 4-66 armor scouts and their platoon sergeant was wounded real bad but our unit did what it was tasked to do! Well on the following morning we were told to move out and we headed down into this wadi and I seen a ZSU23-4 and my gunner took it out with a TOW, continued on down when I shouted driver halt gunner missile tank gunner id me fire nothing happen, said again fire dam it still nothing, gunner our MGS is not working, I almost shi*ed on myself, Thank god for a wing man he took it out with a TOW.

Bradley just doesn't soothe me like being buttoned up in an Abrams. Being a 19K kind of guy, I'm sort of partial to the 120 main tube, but thankfully that TOW did kind of "save your bacon"!!!

Sounds like you were a tanker.

Well the SSG might have been the tanker but for me it was straight leg grunt for 11 years and Mech for 10 years and yes the tow could reach out too 3000 meters and our HE could reach out the same and yes I understand you tankers had that round that could go a mile a second but it sure is hard to hide that big gun and tank and I have seen tankers 4 of them have to work real hard when they threw both tracks to the inside. But the very best thing is we all help each other out and we won, AMEN!!!

SFC Tom Jones - 1. I always appreciated the Infantry. 2. I am glad you had the lethality against enemy armor. 3. the desert terrain can be tricky. Sometimes I had to back up my tank 100 meters to "hide" it.
