The Pentagon says U.S. military personnel in Syria are moving ahead with President Trump's order to pull out of the war-torn country.
The U.S. force in Syria has "begun the process of our deliberate withdrawal from Syria," said Col. Sean Ryan, spokesman for the for Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve. More than 2,000 U.S. troops are currently deployed in Syria.
In the past 24 hours, U.S. forces have withdrawn 10 vehicles and 150 personnel from the Rmelan military base, one of the first installations the U.S.-led coalition established in Syria in 2014, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Those military vehicles were seen traveling into Iraq; it's not clear how the reported movements compare to standard rotations of equipment and personnel.
The Defense Department did not directly address that report. "Out of concern for operational security, we will not discuss specific timelines, locations or troops movements," Ryan said.

GUAM: MORE KURDISH REFUGEES EVACUATED FROM NORTHERN IRAQ ARRIVE
English/Nat Hundreds more Kurdish refugees evacuated from Northern Iraq have arrived (Wednesday) at the U-S Pacific island of Guam. The Kurds were air lifted...
I don't trust the Turkish dictator! I'm sure most of the Kurds do not want to fight the Turks. They just want their autonomous region in Northern Iraq. Is turkey invades Syria and Northern Iraq, I foresee thousands of Kurds going back to Guam like they did in 1996.

It would be a mistake for the U.S. to pull out of Syria. Erdogan has no interest in fighting Daesh. In fact there is plenty of evidence he's been supporting them. Erdogan's interest is in demoralizing the Kurds. I hear conflicting reports from my contacts in the region.
I don't think the U.S. will totally pull out. And I think there is enough pressure on Trump that he's not going to abandon the Kurds.

I respectfully disagree. Just looking at recent events, it’s easy to see why there has been a change in leadership at the Pentagon. The President gets what he wants and he’s made it very clear that he does not feel we need to remain in that fight any longer. In another way, I don’t see the Turkish leadership listening to us in regards to the Kurds either.
