Many of us know someone that's suffering from stomach problems after being overseas. My father who served in Vietnam and the Gulf War and has been suffering from stomach aliments since the early 90's. He's submitted a claim to the VA and we're currently waiting on the outcome. What's bothersome in some of these cases is that protective equipment was not given to most of these service members. You look at some of the items that were in these burn pits and it's clear as day that toxic chemicals were burned and inhaled by those who served overseas. It's time for the VA to recognize these things do cause issues and provide assistance to those who are suffering. Yes, it's going to cost millions but we put our lives on the line on foreign soil not the politicians who are the ones holding a lot of this up.

I know a lot of Vets suffering from these ailments. The only way you get anything done with the VA is to keep on hammering them into submission.
