A Chinese invasion of Taiwan would be a bloody, logistical nightmare

Taiwan (aka the Island of Formosa) has never in world history been occupied or owned by China. The Chinese Nationalists, led by Chiang Kai-Shek escaped there after then end of WWII. Yet China continues to threaten Taiwan again, but the following article reports that invading Taiwan would be an utter bloodbath. Would it be worth the cost to China itself & China's reputation in the world?

LTC (Join to see) It is Definitely Close. You would think it would be easy but the Visuals and International Politics would definitely make any such Invasion Problematic.
