Taiwan has had remarkable success staving off the coronavirus pandemic.
About 24 million people live on the island, but just seven people have reportedly died from COVID-19. That's in part because the country essentially sealed itself off from the outside world.

Many jackasses say we could not have prepared better for the pandemic in the US which is bullshit. Our approach was to lie about the pandemic early and until the middle of March. We did virtually nothing in that time period. Taiwan planned in February to control and monitor who comes into the country, and set up a contact tracing program. There are no right wingers their bitching about the right to not wear masks.
