Departed out of McChord AFB on 19 DEC 68. Following the combat orientation course at Nha Trang, I arrived at Bunard, Detachment A-344, 5th Special Forces Group on 19 JAN 69. I left my camp in a deep sleep on 20 JUN 69. Woke up in the 24th Evacuation Hospital in Long Binh on 20 JUL 69. Left for Japan about a week later -- still not sure if I was afoot or horseback.

SFC William Farrell - I'm impressed that you kept that all these years and that it's in such great shape. That was a lot of money back then. I think I only paid about $1,000 round trip between DFW and Saigon in 2014. What you paid for a one-way ticket in May of 1971 would have been $1,729.30 in August of 2014.

SFC William Farrell - LOL. Doubt it. The statute of limitations ran out decades ago.

MSG Felipe De Leon Brown - Yeah, I was half kidding. They said you missed your port call, you're on your own to get to Nam and you're paying for it!
