There are many organizations out there who are looking to help female vets enter underutilized careers.
Women of Aspalt (https://womenofasphalt.org/) is looking to assist women into a career that has been a largely male-dominated field. Asphalt companies all over the United States are looking for material testers, project managers and asphalt plant operators. In the majority, these positions are not dependent on college degrees. Many are OJT. In fact, that's how I got in. And I've been doing it for 25 years. My Navy experience is what convinced the company that I had what it took to test asphalt. With all the military experience women vets have, you would be an asset to any asphalt company.

Or construction. Heavy equipment, CDL, the field is wide open. It is relatively easy. Just outdoor mostly.

Great story, PO3 Sandra Gomke, and I hope that other women follow your lead!
