Why Costco only charges $4.99 for a rotisserie chicken

Way back when CostCo first opened up and our herd of T-Rex's (boys; I meant the two boys) still lived at home, the Wife and I used to call Costco the "$100" dollar store. Now, you're lucky if you get out under $200. I'm slowly getting back at them; I'll go in just to look around and eat the free samples and I'll make 2 or 3 or 4 rounds of the food carts while I'm at it!
