Being that I'm a Recovery Specialist helping out our nation's homeless veteran's what was available isn't available anymore. The civilians in Government has taken away everything except the monies being paid yearly. We do have outside organizations and businesses helping out. But if the Voluntary Chief's aren't doing their jobs, we all are left out.
What's needed mainly is clothing, gift cards, bus passes and much needed transportation for our veteran's who can't drive and are in wheelchairs.
The gaps in all assistance is where the rules have been changed to only help a few. Soldier's, Sailor's and Marine funds only provide assistance to the Vietnam Veteran's. In plenty of cases where we've sent plenty of veteran's from that era has been denied repeatedly. What we need to do as Veteran's is to remove the civilian population from all Veteran related communities and put Veteran's who knows our problems and do what's right.
