I'm headed to Camp Arifjan with 3x junior enlisted members. Can anyone tell me what the living conditions are like?

Chief, I haven't served at Camp Arifjan since I was the ARCENT & 3rd Army Deputy G2 (Forward) back in 2011-2012, and things might have changed since then. That being said, I see you're a 351M. It's pretty likely that you'll be attached to the 513th MI BDE (Forward), and their troops were living in genuine barracks in Zone 1 when I was there. If that's still true, those barracks are nice, and the Zone 1 Dining Facility is great. It's a permanent structure, the food is really good, and the TCN's who run it serve excellent Middle Eastern and Indian food once per week.

I can also tell you that you're going to have a great mission over there, and Kuwait City has a lot to offer. It will be a good deployment. How long are you heading over for?

Sir, Thanks for the response. My team is anxious to start contributing immediately. As for the chow - good to hear that non-standard DFAC fare is on the menu (or at least was). Hopefully that hasn't changed.

Depends on the Zone and what command gonna fall under. If y'all are sent to Zone 6, you will all be in mass buildings but you, Chief, would be in a "room" with 3 other folks. The Juniors would be open bay bunks. Zone 2 has Container barracks. At least, that's what I call them. Not sure how many folks per there is. Zone 1...that's where the high rollers are. Barracks buildings. Actual barracks buildings.

Thanks, appreciate the info. I'll find out who we fall under and go from there. Good to know.
