They brought back this B-52 that had been in the Boneyard since 2008. They spent quite a bit of money getting her serviceable again. The USAF needs to have the same determination with the A-10 Warthog. There appears to be a double-standard. This aircraft was probably built when I was born in 1962.

The A-10 is a whole lot easier to maintain. I was at Sacramento ALC where we did depot repair on the A-10 and the F-111. You can turn an A-10 in a lot less time.

Simplicity is a cornerstone element for the aircraft with those traits and the resulting longevity but it doesn't help fund the military industrial complex Eisenhower warned us of.

I love the A-10. Awesome aircraft. If the USAF doesn't want it and the Army does, why can't they be transferred to us for resurrection and deployment?

I concur, my friend CPT (Join to see) The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a welcome sound and sight to our ground forces and strikes terror in enemies.
