I recommend bringing everything. Inevitably a CSM will want you to do a ruck march with every possible piece of equipment you own. You don't want to do a light ruck march. The other reindeer will make fun of you. BTW, none of that stuff you get in RFI will be of any use in Afghanistan. We are all just sitting at computers reading RP posts. No one has shot a bullet or hellfire in months.

There is a CRC website that you should review first. Website includes a complete pack list and other important need to know/need to have items. Do not bring everything. You will already be humping enough gear to include re-issues of stuff you already have. You want to carry two of some items? There are prerequisite classes/online training certa you need to have on your possession...or you can do those classes on their systems-recommend completing before you arrive. Good luck.

The Fort Bliss CRC site does have some good info. As this will be my first deployment (not only as an augmentee requiring CRC, but to the Middle East/requiring RFI of OCP kit), I do appreciate the insight and past experiences/tips they do not mention

Absolutely good information from MSG McBride. You want the online classes done so you don't have to do it at the CRC. Take your laptop. Will you be going to Georgia?
