I just received orders to report to Fort Carson in 3 weeks. I am married so i will be living off post. I need a little help. Anyone have any recommendations for off post housing near the base in nice areas? This is my first duty assignment so I’m a bit lost.

Fountain is nice. Would stay away from the Black Forest and briargate area. Real expensive. There are some nice apartments near gate 2 and gate 3 area. I forget the name of one but it based on how much you make.

It's real nice, but I haven't been there since the 70's so I'm sure it has changed. On post housing at that time was fantastic
