I find it editorially suspicious that the type of munition isn’t being named other than training
Knowing that unfused practice hand grenade bodies or a live claymore is issued through the same ammunition process.
The same with all other inert ammunition training items
Or it could be a 556 blank a 50 caliber blank or m203 training round or any other hundreds of innocuous non-lethal and mostly non-dangerous training “munitions “
If it was truly something explosive and dangerous it would’ve been named for the shock and salesmanship of it
