When I was at Fort Irwin in 2015, I was awarded with an Order of the Hamby Second Class. I was wondering where I can obtain the badge. Also, I was wondering if there was a regulation on the wear of it. I’ve been doing research and can’t find anything on it. I have my certificate awarding me the Hamby with a Permanent Orders # on it. I was also wondering if its an award I can add to my SRB.

Thanks for the help.

The Hamby is an internal award for the 11th ACR only. You can wear it on the OPFOR uniform while assigned to the Blackhorse....but that's it. As for the SRB, I'm not sure. As for acquiring the badge, you may need to contact the base and see if you can get one. I don't think they are sold online.

SGT(P) Abner Lozano - agree with MSG (Join to see) . Hard no on the SRB. It may count as a COA as it is signed by Blackhorse 6. Best way to get one is to call the Ft Irwin MCSS. I'll look to see if I have a Hamby in my stuff still in the package so I can give you the Company name. It was one of the big ones like NS Meyer or another one that starts with a V....more to follow.

At the end of the day, know that what ever you were recognized for was worthy of one of the OPFOR's highest honors that even a handful of OPFOR troopers see.

Was it a unit Hamby or an individual/crew Hamby? Matters which side it is worn on. I have three Hamby's from unit citations, but no individual ones.

There are technically four classes of Hamby.
Gold - first class
Silver - second class
Red- third class
Pink - the Loathed Namby Pamby Hamby for sniveling complaining and otherwise quibbling. Awarded sparingly and briefly 94-98.

Somebody told me that there is a master record of the Hamby's awareded, tied to the number on the back. I got my four with 1/63rd, so not sure where this master record would be.
