So No dont shave your head, that would make you stand out
No dont show up with 4 feet of hair, that would make you stand out, perhaps if that is you, get a basic hair cut before you go.

There is literally nothing you can do to change the reception process except stuff to make it go worse.
Read though the info you were give for reporting in...if it says no knives (it does), dont show up with the knife your grandpa gave you when he returned from war.

Don't bother to shave now. The barbers at Fort Jackson shave your head during reception phase.
