I am not airborne currently, at 16 years in I don’t foresee going airborne either. Currently serving at Ft Irwin as OPFOR OC(Palehorse).

Good question if objective T actually relates to airport operations?

You're going from an OC to an OC at another base? Did I read that right?

Hello, I am the JRTC Bridage OPS NCOIC. So you will be required to go to airborne if you are in a P coded TDA slot, if you are not then it will not be required. All of the Task Forces only have a certain number of TDA allowed jump slots they are required to keep filled hope this information helps!

Looks like I am definitely headed to JRTC. Is the OC assignment two years long like the NTC OC tour? How are the rotations for OC? As OPFOR at NTC I only go to the box for 10 days a month. I know the OCs for RTU spend more time in the box. Trying to get info so I can prepare the wife for more time at another Training Center.1SG (Join to see)

SSG (Verify To See) Yeah absolutely understand wanting to prepare House Hold 6 for it. Well it's typically a 2-3 year assignment however, I have been here 4, career wise it's been an awesome job though and worth every minute for the amount I've learned. So typical box time is a lot, like average 3 weeks a month a lot, typically it's a few days in and then a refit day and then a 4 day post rotation so it's really not all that terrible. Anymore questions feel free to hit me up!

Sorry to jump in and interrupt. But i report to JRTC OPS GRP 10 may. I confirmed with my branch that it is an OC/T position and an airborne assignment. I'm comin from the 173rd out of Italy. My MOS is a 12B so what can I expect?

SSG (Join to see) As a 12B most likely TF5 or could go to 1-509th Geronimo, expect to find out at in processing if not pin pointed on your orders. At in processing expect classes, post orientation, and a new comers 3 mile run hosted by one of the MSC's on the installation. If you've never been to Polk it really is what you make of it, and although the "box" sucks it has been the most professionally developing assignment of my career thus far.
