Currently in ait as a 15T reclass and have orders to fort Polk. What can I expect when I arrive? I have been told there is only flight companies there.

First of all congrats on your success up to date. I was previously stationed at polk. It’s completely what you make of it. Expect to go to 1-5 AVN, GREAT UNIT!! Great leadership all around. You can expect to be part of Cajun Dustoff Company. JRTC is actively involved with supporting rotations year round. It’s safe to say you will frequently encounter lots of mild heat casualties and the occasional VIP transport. It’s lots of fun and like I said, GREAT LEADERSHIP ALL AROUND. 1-5 AVN is absolutely the best place to be in regards to Polk. Best of luck

Fort Polk has gotten alot better...get you some OC time when units arrive for training
