New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez joined several Democratic lawmakers at a Houston food bank Saturday as she and former Texas Representative Beto O'Rourke amassed about $5 million in total so far to help Texans struggling amid winter storms.
Millions of Texas residents remain without water or heating, prompting the current and former Democratic congressional members to spearhead fundraising campaigns through ActBlue.
As of Sunday morning, Ocasio-Cortez has raised $4 million for relief teams across the state of Texas and joined Democratic Representatives Sylvia Garcia, Sheila Jackson and Al Green at a Houston food bank Saturday. Donations from the ActBlue fundraising campaign are set to be split between the Houston Food Bank, Feeding Texas, Family Eldercare, the Bridge Homeless Recovery Center and Ending Community Homeless Coalition (ECHO),

After Action Review. Sit down and educate Texans on what the term "winterizing equipment" means.
This doesn't mean long sleeve shirt and a sweater. Talk about another embarrassment.
Winter oil? Summer oil? Lord.

We'll help Texans, while Cruz goes to Cancun. A feather in Beto's cap for future election(s). A resume bullet for AOC in their covert effort to oust Pelosi. Still a generous act, but with a purpose.

Perhaps, perhaps not. As an optimist, I try to see the good in people as much as possible.

MSG Stan Hutchison - Me too, except I'm a realist when it comes to politicians. Still a generous act. Outclassed Cruz by far.

He barely lost to Cruz in 2018. He may have governor aspirations after this event.. Didn't the Texas governor consider running for president in 2024? Hmmm.
