They could put you in any battalion. Everyone needs drivers. You'll find out which battalion when you finish inprocessing

Roger. Reception informed me that if I dont have a sponsor to sign for me on Friday, then I get dropped. I've been following up daily to see if they have pinpointed me yet, but to no avail. I had no idea accession soldiers were so difficult.

SGT(P) (Join to see) lol don't worry, the Division and Corps CSMs are very big on having sponsors. Your unit will send someone sign for you, you just might not find out which unit that is till then

SGT(P) (Join to see) what do they mean by dropped? That’s bullshit. The next unit with a priority open slot gets you. They are not going to exile you a make you live in a van down by the river.

1-229 Is an Attack reconnaissance Battalion (ARB) which means you will be supporting the Apaches. Welcome to the team and we look forward to working with you.

SFC (Join to see) Right on the money SFC. Met a handful of the guys yesterday and of course had to give a very awkward introduction. Seems like a great team over there from what I've seen so far.

I appreciate it Sir, to you the same. I'm honestly thrilled to be here. Nervous for sure but excited nonetheless.
