Disclaimer: This is my Company. But what I really want to know, is how we can make it better for our service men and women? Are online, project-based internships what you need for your next career? Does the opportunity to work remotely with a company, develop skills, learn company culture, and build connections sound like your solution to career development? What do we need to change? What can we do to help you to your next level? Thanks so much for the discussion!

I love the idea! The remote internships may help some vets with anxiety about working with groups of people and can help by allowing enough of a disconnect the vet can walk away for a few and regain composure if needed. So many of my battle buddies have some level of social dysfunction either from PTSD or just being ingrained in an environment the average civilian doesn't get that causes friction in jobs. Bravo LT I love it!

Sean, Thanks so much for the note! We have actually had the pleasure of working with one intern that is working through some PTSD related symptoms of anxiety and he had expressed that this was allowing him to stay active and continue to work towards his next goal without running into those overwhelming feelings. Only one case study for us so far in this arena but I love that you see it as a potential solution for service members that need that "ease into it" phase of a transition. We are certainly here to help anywhere and everywhere we can with this process. Thanks again!

My wife is a professional counselor and a combat vet as well; maybe I can get her to do another study on this so she can get published lol.

Sir, would love the opportunity to connect more. I handle most of our technical development and am our "outreach arm" to the military community. But I would love to do a conference call sometime with you and our engagement director that handles the internship matching and HR for us. Thanks!
