Chances of early arrival 4187 approval. To deploy with unit in feb. My report date is may.

Changing report date from 10 may to 10 Jan(120 days) so children can start school at beginning of semester, I can adjust to optempo of new unit and I am trying to deploy with a unit who leaves in feb. Is that a good reason. I'm tired of chasing deployments. What's the odds.

Does anyone talk with their CSM these days? Go see your CSM. Ask him to call the number you provide for him of your gaining CSM. CSM to CSM works wonders. Best of luck on your deployment.

My CSM is more than willing to help me switch to the deploying brigade but is the report date as well that seems to be the tricky part

Your logic is sound. The number of days of approval. Local milpo can do like 30. Submit a detailed letter, as you have described. Do a backawards plan listing the dates, especially deployment and CTC if that applies. Check wit your branch manager to see who the approval authority is. Do all your NCOERs etc early so it is just signing.

No end around. They get a vote as they are agreeing to go without in the interim

10th Field Hospital is going in 2018. I’m not gonna post month or anything like that, so if you’re medical, especially a whiskey try going there
