First duty station JBLM. 201st MI. Any advice?

Got my orders the other day, my first duty station out of AIT will be at JBLM 109th MI BN, 201st E-MIB in late September. Anyone have any previous experience with the unit, is it good/bad? Any advice for the area?

Invest in memories and experiences, not things. Climb Rainier. Climb Helens. Hike the Ape Caves. Explore the Olympics and Cascades. Learn to scuba dive and dive with the octopus in the narrows. Snowboard or ski the slopes. JBLM has everything. Take advantage of it.

Great post and especially fun if you like the outdoors. It does rain often but the summers are awesome.

Can't tell you about that unit, but I loved the base and the area. There's a saying that goes "When it's raining, you can't see Mt Rainier. If you can see Mt Rainier, it means it's going to rain" :)
