@SGT Thomas Lucken I was at Casey, Oct 54 to Sep 55. As 7th Signal wire maintainers, we did 'get' around. 17th Inf was across the River, North of Casey, Recon Ridge Runners kept an eye on us during the day. 'We' once went to the 17th area for lunch, they had reported and commented on our activities at a ville, 3-4 kilcs South of the MSR. Ky Anh Ne? It was over the ridge line bordering the East side of Camp Casey.

I do not recall hearing of any DMZ activities or troop involvement at that time. Why?

Nice work on your video presentation, someone has to remember!

Charles, it seems that the DMZ has always been a dark secret all these years since the Armistice was signed July 27 1953. Very few incidents have ever been heard about, except certain ones. Example when Playboy Bill Clinton makes a hero of the CW2 Hall in 1994 who got his copilot, CW2 Hilemon killed...... Hall was the PIC (pilot in command), and made a major mistake flying about 5 to 6 miles inside of the NK. In my years on the ground and some in the air, no way you can mistake the DMZ/MDL to go that far north....

Thanks brother, have alot more DMZ videos available at my youtube channel below. My close friend and fellow DMZ Vet; Doug Voss (68 to 69), have put together several videos about the DMZ and incidents along it:
