The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Conway County in central Arkansas...
Southeastern Pope County in central Arkansas...

* Until 1230 PM CDT.

* At 929 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated nearly stationary
thunderstorms producing very heavy rain along portions of the
Conway...Pope County line. Up to three inches of rain has already
fallen in the last two hours. Flash flooding is likely to occur.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Atkins... Hattieville...
Jerusalem... Happy Bend...
Economy... Kenwood...
Macedonia in Conway County... Blackwell...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Showers and thunderstorms will remain possible through tonight.
The overall severe weather threat should remain low...but a strong
storm or two could be seen. Locally heavy rainfall...gusty winds
and small hail will be possible with any strong storm.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday Through Friday

Continued chances of showers and thunderstorms will remain in the
forecast for much of the weekend and the first half of next week.
This unsettled weather will result in daily chances of showers and
thunderstorms which will likely contain deadly lightning. Widespread
severe weather is not expected...however isolated strong to
severe storms will be possible as well as isolated periods of
flash flooding.
