The skies over southern Idaho are going to get much louder over the next three weeks.
The Idaho National Guard is hosting six AV-8B Harrier aircraft from the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, North Carolina. They will be in Idaho through April 28.
The jets will be trainings with A-10s from the Idaho Air National Guard’s 190th Fighter Squadron. Operations will involve both day and night training. The majority of the training flights will occur during daylight hours. Night flying will occur April 19-22.

Chip I know this has nothing to do with your post but I remember many years ago I was afforded to opportunity to fly with my best friend and closest thing to a brother I have in his/army CH47 and I sat on the down ramp with a head set on so we could talk/I could listen to them talk. I was loving it, my legs were hanging off the ramp as I sat on the edge of the ramp (I was strapped in). I noticed that as we flew pretty fast for of rotary wing AC we were way below the mountain tops, I had to smile. My brother is a complete and total badass I love and miss him. No he is not dead but I have not seen him in a few years.
