That's not the position the Marine took. He stated that he understood why they did it, and he admitted that he looked "unhinged."

Add to those facts the minor point that he's bipolar and his dad told the police that he was drinking heavily and becoming increasingly agitated, and it begins to look like a different story.

BTW, he was only held for 5 days. He voluntarily stayed the additional 15 days in order to receive treatment.

To be honest, it could have been WA or CA as well, though CA has at least instituted laws against being masked for the commission of a crime or escape from a crime ( CALIFORNIA Penal Code Section 182-185 )
