Land nav cheating scandal: Inside the total meltdown at TBS

I am glad they are kicking people out. Somebody might have been depending on them for that skill and they don't have it.

This is such a disappointing article on so many counts. From the Lt's to the Captains, a complete cluster fox trot.

When you’re a grunt, it’s imperative you know where you are at all times. If you can’t handle land nav, then you need a different position (AF, Navy?). Ok, ok, the last bit was just an attempt at humor.

But it wasn’t humorous when that convoy got lost (relying on GPS), and got shot up in Iraq by being in the wrong place. Resulted in the female hostage and later, the subject of a major rescue (and subsequent movie).
