This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of west central
Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening,
mainly along and south of a line from Sterling City to Brownwood.
The primary hazards will be large hail, damaging winds, and deadly
lightning. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out as well.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will again be possible on
Friday. Some of these storms maybe be strong to severe, with large
hail and damaging winds the primary threats.

Spotter activation is possible this afternoon mainly south of I-20.

At 1201 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles southwest of Eden, or 13 miles northwest of Menard, moving
northeast at 30 mph.

Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
Eden around 1225 PM CDT.
Melvin and Salt Gap around 1245 PM CDT.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for
west central Texas.

Love seeing KGTB in these forecasts. We used to fly a low level training route that had a bomb scoring site there, brings back memories for sure.
