Does your insurance impact your income? I am 76 and have none, at this point why would I want it. The VA and State Veterans Cemetary will take care of most of it

At 76 it would cost way too much. Did you ever look at that insurance they advertise on television. Limited benefits (refund of you premium less a processing fee) the first two years. If you live four years you paid for the entire benefit with most of them. After that it is all profit for the company.
I took out a whole life $50,000 policy when I was 21 (a lot of money back then). It is worth over $60,000 if I cash in but over $110,000 if I died today. The company has been trying to get me to cash in for the last five years. Hell no! I would have to pay tax on it. This way my wife (if she is still living) or my children get tax free.

I have no debts, I own my home and my cars, I pay my real estate taxes and other bills and owe nothing. I have money in the bank enough to pay for a funeral. Over the past 20 years I have saved enough to get by

Life insurance is used for income replacement if you were to pass away who is depending on that income? If you have a family that is dependent on your income then you need life insurance. Everyone’s situation is different. I only recommend term life insurance to my clients and so does Dave Ramsey and Susie Orman (look it up on you tube). If you have any questions reach out to me and I will help you
