When I went we didn't have time for anything but training. But phones weren't portable then either.

Airborne school is different than many others, in that after training hours you were pretty much on your own, so to speak- so you should be able to call after training hours, but they better not have then with them in training.

You won’t have time during the duty day to message or talk on the cell phone. Airborne school is all about business. Yup, different than Basic, your time after normal duty hours aren’t as restricted. You have duty rosters and getting ready for the next day’s inspection. Enjoy being there

I went to through Airborne Jump School in January of 1984 and actually resided offf ost. As long as you are in formation on time there were no restrictions. If I had it to do over I would have stayed in the barracks but I was a very young PFC and newlywed. I was up at 0300 every morning and never missed a formation. Keep your head down and follow instructions to the letter and you will do fine. Facebook can wait until training is finished.
