Does anyone at Fort Bragg have any gear they could donate or get rid of for me to use at Ranger School?

I'll be going to Ranger School soon and just wondering if anyone at Fort Bragg had any gear they could donate or get rid of. Anything would help im just trying to scrap as many items as possible before spending a paycheck on a packing list ! If so i would appreciate it!

Go buy used uniforms at the surplus store. Everything on the packing list is either something you can be issued or something you can get from supply. Most of your expendable you'll share with others.
Buy extra socks. Like, good, high quality, $10-$15 a pair socks. Don't bring any of those crappy issue socks. I spent $100 in socks before Ranger School and SFAS each and that was the best investment I ever made.

what socks do you recommend ? i have a pair of fox rivers but they kill my feet with moisture

SGT (Join to see) definitely not fox River. They're decent for garrison but suck in the field. Go for Heavy hiking versions of the socks you pick. Smartwool makes good ones, merino wool is naturally antibacterial. FITS makes a good heavy duty hiking sock. A lot of people swear by Darn Tuff. Under Armour makes a decent heavy one as well.
Stick with the heavy duty versions of socks. It might seem like your feet will sweat heavy or be too hot, but the extra cushion helps your feet, and helps prevent your feet from sliding around inside your boots causing blisters

Be sure to get with your supply guy for all those small things that add up... face paint, 550 cord, IR sticks, lum tape, etc.

Especially for the large rolls of lum tape that could cost you upwards of $100 on your own.
And having extra to share could make you a few friends to help out your peer ratings...
Supply can get you just about all the extras you'll need especially with some assistance from your leadership in pressuring supply to actually give it all to you.
Except gum. You're on your own there.

You should ha e been issued all TA-50 you need for Ranger School. For expendibles, get with your PSG and submit a supply request. You will be issued 2 new uniforms once you get down the Benning.
