LTC Stephen C. Agreed, a great achievement, RANGER at 45 years of age. In the early 1970s; 1SG Orchard of the CAARNG graduated from RANGER school while in his early 40s. Can any one verify that? I have no details, only a memory.

CPT (Join to see), can you help CSM Charles Hayden confirm the age of 1SG Orchard when he graduated from Ranger school in the early '70s?

LTC Stephen C. - I can't. Only the Senior TAC at ranger school has access to cards that date that far back.

He was a great guy. He came to RTAC at Fort Benning. He was awesome there and we knew he would do great at ranger school.
