I'm attending CLS in a few weeks and was wondering if I'll receive a certification card from the Red Cross for First Aid/CPR/AED? I already have a Red Cross Certification for First Aid/CPR/AED, but it expires in April of 2020. PFC (Join to see) SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL SSG(P) James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4" LTC Stephen F. Roger I was curious because I recently started a job as a Police Officer and was wondering if I'd still have to recertify in First Aid/CPR/AED through the Red Cross sir.

No, it teaches you how to apply tourniquets and TC3. CPR and AED are for heart attacks. You'll never use CPR on the battlefield and you'll (likely) never apply tourniquets on civilians as an LEO.

As most have posted, I last took CLS in January of 2014 and it is as stated by others, more about combat injuries, stopping massive bleeding, how to apply tourniquets to limb, stop a sucking chest wound etc.
